Programmes - Drama Programme

The Drama Programme was founded in 1992 to encourage and foster drama and have lots of fun during it! All age groups in the centre take part. The primary task of drama is to preserve and encourage the desire to "make believe" while at the same time extending it to all other areas of life and knowledge.

In this way drama can assist in the fulfilment of the person's current cognitive and affective needs and in providing for his/her future personal, social, emotional and intellectual development. There are many objectives in drama:
1. To develop personal adaptability and spontaneity.
2. To develop the ability to co-operate.
3. To develop verbal and non-verbal skills.
4. To develop imagination and creativity.

It can develop social skills such as working with people, listening and voicing your opinion but above all it's about having fun and working as part of a team!
